If you’re an experienced diver looking to further your education and skills you may be interested in technical diving. Technical diving pushes pasts the limits of recreational diving (normally considered to be 30m max with no decompression). There are many things to see in our oceans that are deeper than you would normally dive to – deep reefs and pinnacles, historic shipwrecks and more.

Through a balanced mix of self study and classroom discussion you’ll learn a lot more about human physiology, decompression planning and procedures, deep diving techniques and equipment. On the practical side you’ll learn how to dive deep in a new equipment configuration with double tanks and decompression tanks. by the end of your training you will be able to conduct planned stage decompression dives using multiple gas blends on a single dive.
The range of DSAT technical diving courses are extensive and demanding but the knowledge and skills gained will make you and extremely advanced diver, making these some of the most rewarding courses you can take.
Ben Cotrell, DSAT and TDI Tech Instructor 
Ben Cottrell has worked as a dive instructor for 7 years teaching courses from DSAT and TDI. He’s conducted technical dives on many deep wrecks all over the world, but he currently concentrates on the wrecks in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand. He has also dived on the deep reefs and drop-offs of The US Virgin Islands and Bonaire. Ben has conducted 1000+ safe dives to depths greater than 60 meters, some of which exceed 100 meters.
