As a PADI Divemaster, you might feel that now it is the time to move on. Your PADI Assistant Instructor Course takes you a step further and sharpens your teaching skills with intensive training during the 4-day AI program. Through independent study, classroom sessions and practical application, candidates learn to construct effective teaching presentations and conduct PADI programs. The Assistant Instructor course forms the first part of the full Instructor Development Course (IDC). The focus of the programme is the PADI system of diver education. You will develop your presentation skills, to enable you to pass your knowledge and experience on to student divers. It covers the use of PADI materials and PADI standards as well as how to present, teach and evaluate in confined and open water. Upon successful completion of the course, you can conduct knowledge development presentations in the classroom, evaluate Confined Water Diver Skills and Open Water Diver surface skills, teaching the Peak Performance Buoyancy and Project AWARE Specialty courses. At Kon-Tiki you can choose to do this course independetly or in conjunction with the IDC. |
